Spy Photos: 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2-Row SUV
We finally caught a look at the new two-row 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WL74) being tested on public roads. This all-new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the second part of a wave of new Grand Cherokee models that will be introduced this year, with the electrified Grand Cherokee 4xe models coming out later this year.
The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee not only is shorter than the three-row model, but it also has several different design features as well. The first, and most obvious, is the front fascia styling shown on this Limited trim-level prototype.
The Grand Cherokee dumps the more squared-off look of the L model for a sportier and more angular look. Additionally absent is the chrome trim found at the bottom of the front fascia and the bottom grille opening is larger.
The second big difference is the rear window styling. While the Grand Cherokee L features a boxier look due to the application of the third-row.
This means the rear window glass is larger and more of a squared-shape than what these newest photos show for the two-row model. The two-row Grand Cherokee features a sharp-angled rear window with a rear-pillar that looks as if it's a design throwback to the Grand Cherokee (WK) models that ran from 2005 to 2010.
The two-row 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee is expected to start production at the company's Jefferson North Assembly Plant this fall.
