LIVE!!!!! AND ARTISTIC. Cars and the automotive industry are a way for creative folk to get their work seen. Designers ,dreamers ,and craftsmen build the autos we all love and admire. We walk the miles and miles of convention halls here looking for a part that impresses us or to make our cars and trucks handle better or perform. It took an artist, or at least a creative vision, to make that all come to fruition. Form follows function they say, and I am a subscriber to that thought . Some of the most interesting and appealing things to me are simple and timeless. This, and my rambling, bring me to my week's installment of the artists at SEMA. A hallway between the South Hall and Central Hall showcases the work of a select number of artists during SEMA week. These folk are craftsmen and I've had the distinct honor of meeting a few of my faves. If you have seen anything from SEMA here or on instagram you have defiantly seen this mans work before. His name is Max Grundy. This guy has his work all over the convention and it makes me feel a little at home in a weird way. I love the guys work for its simplicity and graphic nature. It was a real treat to be introduced to him and chat a little about cars. We're all car people here and Max has on display one hell of a killer cab over… take a minute to go check out his work you'll be blown away!!! Look for more showcased artists coming soon, but until then sink your chops into this!
