Ride of the Week: Off Road Evolution 2018 Jeep Wrangler [Video]
If it’s considered off-road, chances are Mel Wade and Off Road Evolution has done it. They’ve built daily-drivers, race vehicles and high-profile custom builds. According to their website, “We are not just another shop, we are part of the family of off-roaders and 4x4 enthusiasts exploring the outdoors in the vehicles they build.” Proof of that statement is Wade’s customized 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara.
The turbo’d 2.0L Sahara Unlimited sports 268hp and 295lb-ft. of torque and was upgraded at his shop with a host of EVO manufacturing parts. He improved the suspension with EVO bolt-on coilovers front and rear, bumpers on both ends and a heavy-duty tire carrier for the back. Other notables to look out for are the KMC Machete wheels shod in Nitto Ridge Grapplers and ARB roof top tent. It’s safe to say this Jeep is ready for the trails; see how it looks in the video above.
