Need For Speed 2015
My first Need for Speed experience was in the summer after my sophomore year in high school. The game was Need for Speed: Underground, and it was when EA Games made the bold move to switch from racing sports cars to the customization world of import tuners and street racing. As 15-year-olds, my Asian friends and I were already making plans to own either a 240sx, Civic or NSX (for the big dreamers) and what we would do to them, all before we even got our driver's permit. Need for Speed: Underground was the perfect butt scratcher to scratch the itch of wanting to get our butts into the driver's seat. We spent our summer nights customizing cars and racing against each other over a network server until 3:00, 4:00, maybe 5:00 in the morning. There was one time we were up so late that my friend's mom unplugged their Internet so we couldn't play anymore. (Awww...MOM!) Need for Speed has released a number of titles between then and now, some just a good and others complete wrecks. I haven't taken the time to play a racing game as much as I did Need for Speed: Underground, but after seeing the trailer for their latest reboot at the recent E3 convention, I might have to dust off my gaming racing wheel and pedals. It's still a while until the official release on November 3, but you can geek out over the trailer below in the meantime! With what looks like silhouettes of industry greats Porsche collector Magnus Walker, NITTO Tire drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. and RWB creator Nakai-San, I can feel already that this game will make you feel the need...the need for speed!Become the Ultimate Icon
