Summer is finally winding down, but just because the sun sets sooner doesn't mean we can't continue to rock out until the break of dawn. Here are a few tunes to chill and groove to, perfect additions for any playlist before the evening air turns crisp and too cool to do so.
Lemonade - Dancer On the Shore (feat. Dee Dee)
Any last minute spontaneous trips to the beach or lake side might be best kicked off with this jam. It is ultra smooth and silky. Kick those shoes off, get the grill hot...this is too good.
Fetty Wap - Trap Queen (Figgy Remix)
I personally am on the fence about the original version (you gotta really love that trap) but the Figgy remix is a fun blend of house and soul, almost an entirely different song. Suppose this would get heads moving no matter if you're a hip hop head or dance music lover.
Tame Impala - Let It Happen (Good Night Keaton Remix)
The original cut is one of Tame Impala's best tracks to date, but this Good Night Keaton remix gives it a dance-friendly 4x4 beat extension with minimal vocals. Hipsters will love this.
Eazy-E - Them Gangstaz (Cookin Soul Remix)
Still can't get enough of that old school gangsta rap? Neither can I. Cookin Soul takes our beloved Eazy-E's vocals and drops them on top of this '80s-type electro backbeat. Somehow we envision E getting down to this, wherever he may be...
TV On The Radio - Happy Idiot (Wes Wallace Extended Mix)
I found this by mistake. Originally I wanted the album version to add to a personal playlist but found this custom extended version with a little piano riff by Wes Wallace. More or less the original but with an extra 45-seconds or so.
HNNY - Solsidan
It takes a good minute or so to get going, but Solsidan is infectious. A strong beat with a female vocal you'll be humming to yourself long after the song has ended. Give it a good couple of listens to appreciate it.
Diplo - Live on the Iguana Car, Burning Man 2015
Most sets recorded from Burning Man are aimed to your typical "burner", some type of deep house set that feeds into your decompression and sadness of not being on the Playa (at least for another year). Diplo uploaded this (poorly recorded) set, which blends his roots (hip hop, old school '90s at that) to his current EDM hits. If you can stand the quality and random screaming of people in the background, it's a worthwhile listen.
