FIA World Endurance Changes: Safety
The seventh of twelve video episodes from Automobile Club de l’Ouest on the 2014 rule changes in the World Endurance Championship. Following the changes in the driver's role from last week, this video outlines how new safety regulations will not only help protect drivers but also seek to keep the track racing at the occurrence of a mishap. All LMP1 cars will now be enclosed rather than open cockpit, the driver's position and safety surrounds are changing as well as track safety procedures.
