Farm Jeep Overhaul: BDS Long Arm Suspension Install [Video]
At 16-years-old, Michael Lanier’s 2000 Jeep Wrangler had seen better days. The little farm Jeep had sat largely neglected for the past couple of years, as priorities of keeping things going at Lanier’s family’s Old River Farms property took top billing. While the Jeep was frequently used for small errands around the family’s 400 acre farm, it was long overdue for a makeover.
Ready to improve the Jeep’s on- and off-road performance, Lanier consulted with the Jeep experts at Low Range 4x4 in Wilmington, North Carolina, to devise a plan that would fulfill every need and want. First and foremost, the Jeep’s suspension desperately needed addressing. Knowing the significant handling and performance benefits gained with a long-arm suspension for the TJ platform, a BDS Suspension 4.5-inch long-arm was ordered along with a set of dirt-devouring 35x14.50 Nitto Mud Grapplers.
We were there to capture the transformation, and while we’ll have a full breakdown of the build, we’ve put together a short video documenting the transformation.
