What would you do if you were anxiously standing in line to enter the first Auto Enthusiast Day by Nitto Tire being held near your city and your 5-year-old daughter asks you for your DSLR camera so she could take pictures at the event? You hand it over and let her at it!
With the nice, warm weather and lots of anticipation in the air, Sofia Lin decided it was her time and she insisted to take over photographer duties from her dad, Bryan Lin of Motorsports Authority. Adding to her previous photography experience from a wedding (her aunt's wedding, the week or so before, to be exact), Sofia wanted to expand her reputation to be a versatile, well-rounded photographer.
Looking over the moments that this she captured at Auto Enthusiast Day Texas, Sofia can't choose which photo is her favorite - but does say that capturing the stunt bike demos were the single most exciting moments of her young photography career. Sofia's small stature wasn't the only attribute that enabled her to get such a different and refreshing perspective on the show - wherever she went, she was able to capture some of the most unique expressions from people you will ever see at a car show.... even some exclusive shots with her new BFF, Matt Powers.
After only two major events shooting, Sofia can't wait to explore what other events she can capture. One thing is certain, becoming a photographer is one of the many things she wants to be when she grows up. In her eye's she's already got a leg up on the competition, because when we asked her who was a better photographer, her or her dad, she replied "Me!" with a big giant grin on her face!
