AutoCon 2015

No venture can ever become something great unless it has a good supporting network. For AutoCon, a Southern California based import car show, organizer Justin Fong knows that he can't rely on social media tactics alone to help build the brand, but that he can also count on a strong group of friends representing the likes of iconic names like RWB, Purist Group, Mackin Industries, Rocket Bunny, Bulletproof Automotive and Super Street to come and help do some of the heavy lifting. AutoCon, when you strip down its layers, is not your average car show. Sure, its aisles are littered with really fantastic builds, there are import models just waiting to take an Instagram selfie with you and high energy dance music blasting from one end of the hall to the other - all the makings of an average car show. There is a stage up front that's purpose built to allow higher profile builds to be driven up in front of the crowd so that enthusiasts can hear the engine start up and have the owner provide more details about the car itself. Almost Concours/Barrett Jackson'ish but with more boobs, zero auctions and cars that are more relatable; in other words, AutoCon isn't like any other. But you don't want to hear me tell you about AutoCon; why don't you see it for yourself: SSA Auto Rocket Bunny NSX While the SSA Auto NSX has made plenty of bunny hops around LA's show circuit, very few probably know that the entire front end lifts up and pulls forwards, as demonstrated by owner, Robert Chew. Creaminz RWB Porsche The latest from the RWB USA camp: the Creaminz-edition Porsche 993. AutoCon models Easiest way to score chicks at AutoCon? Bring a Frenchie (like Rico here). Phaze2 Acura Integra Beyond clean: Phaze2Mikey's DC Integra sports that ultra smooth bay with an ITB'd B18C motor. Rat Rod Imports rule as a majority at AutoCon but that doesn't mean a rat rod can't hang with the best of them. Scion Racing Scion Racing had Noel Barnum's Varis-kitted FR-S on display, fresh with a new set of SSR wheels and TRD rear louvers! LB Kids Not old enough to legally drive? For those 4 and under, may we recommend something from the LB Kids catalog? $5 Make You Holla Indeed... For more photos from AutoCon, check out the gallery below: id 38960
