From supercars to the super weird, eBay is filled with oddities and great finds alike. The price people ask for these “rare” finds is sometime just as outrageous as the items themselves, but that doesn’t make them any less enjoyable to check out. Using the search words "hot rod", "rock crawler" and "lifted" have netted me some great finds over the years. Here are five examples of eBay rides currently for sale that you won’t see at your local CarMax dealer anytime soon:
Bat Car?
It looks like Bruce Wayne is finally cutting loose some of his older Bat rides. The circa 1989 Michael Keaton Batmobile was one of my favorites as a kid, but this replica looks strangely phallic and sad. The current sellers states that the “Bat Car” was built on a Corvette chassis and is over 19ft long and 7-½ ft wide. He also lists that it does not run and has no title, which might put a wrench into your crime fighting plans.

1932 Ford
Having spent years around rat rods, I’ve learned two things. One, the ingenuity behind some of these builds is absolutely astounding. Two, always, I mean always, be up to date on your tetanus shot before riding in one. This 1932 Ford creation checks all the right boxes for me. Truck bed, V-8, five-speed manual and lots of classic patina. It’s hard to gauge if the $15,999 Buy-It-Now price is really a great deal, but it’s definitely worth taking a few minutes to check out the photos.

1949-ish Dodge Power Wagon
A few years ago, Legacy Classic Trucks begin reproducing the Dodge Power Wagon from the late 1940s. Styling-wise, it looks like a 1949 Power Wagon, but the underpinnings are more GM than anything. This particular model is fit with an all-aluminum 6.2L LS3 V-8, Dana 60 front axle, 14-bolt rear and King coilovers at all four corners. You’re essentially getting the classic look without any of the headaches of owning an older truck.

1992 M923A2 5-Ton
Military vehicles by in large are wildly impractical. But, with four-doors and a giant bed, you could make the case for this 1992 M923A2 Five-Ton truck as your new ride. Powering the low-mileage monster is a massive 8.3L Cummins turbo-diesel, which is backed by an Allison automatic transmission. If those tires look large, it’s because they are said to be 54 inches tall. Weighing in at a hefty 18,000 pounds, you might want to make sure your driveway is up to the challenge.

1940 Oldsmobile (Woody)
The styling of the 1940s era cars are some of my favorite. Couple those unique lines with wood paneling and you have the makings of a true classic. This Dynamic Series 70 Woody Wagon is going to punish your wallet, but we doubt you’ll find many others restored like it. Of course, this is a Southern California car, which I am pretty sure adds another $10K automatically to the price. This classic is way out of my league, but very cool indeed.
